Tour: Camel Trek – Everything
So you want to see everything and spend more time in the desert. Then we will give you everything with this tour. Each day will involve between 90 minutes to 2 hours of either riding a camel or walking along side one. Just like the other camel trek after a delicious lunch, the trek will start right into the secluded desert. You do not need to worry about anything but enjoy the experience because we will make everything ready for you. The camels will be packed with food, blankets and everything else which we will need. We will take you to the oasis in the middle of the dunes and spend the night around a campfire. In that magical night you will see the lights over the dunes like you have never seen them before with all their shine and intensity. In the morning you will have a chance to watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, which is about 50km from Merzouga and take nice pictures that will always remind you this wonderful experience. After the breakfast we will have around 2 hours to reach our next destination. We will stop for lunch next to a desert tree ‘Tamarist’ for about 1 1/2 hrs. In the shadow of this tree, we will have our lunch. After lunch we head towards the home of a Touareg family with whom you will spend your second night and share some time with. Next day after having our breakfast with the Touaregs we head towards another small oasis which is in the middle of the desert and have our lunch. Third night will be spent with a Berber nomad family living at this particular oasis. After breakfast we travel back to the village or to the auberge.
